Recruitment drive due to increase in financial based calls

Contact centre operator 2Touch, part of Acxiom, has announced the duration of 250 contact centre based staff at its Sunderland contact centre in response to the increased amount of calls received from their financial clients.

The increase in staff will add to the already 750 workforce based on the 'hot bed' of contact centres in Sunderland, Doxford International Park, and will take place over the next 3 months.

HR director Yvonne Charlton said: “The downturn has been kind to us in that a number of our financial services customers are concerned about their personal finances at the moment, which is understandable.

“This influx of calls, as well as our ability to change our strategy, has provided us with a growth spurt.”
