Sunderland City Council set to create 300 jobs

It has been announced by Sunderland City Council that they are set to recruit 300 contact centre agent positions with the vacancies being promoted at an employment fair being held on January 29th.

The event will be attended by some major telecoms industry representatives, including those from T-Mobile and EDF Energy.

Councillor Paul Watson commented the city is one of the leaders in the call centre field, with around 10,000 operators.

He added: "The recruitment day is an ideal opportunity for those out of work or looking to change career to find out about openings in the sector."
