In a court case lasting over 6 years satellite broadcaster BSkyB have been awarded £200m in damages against EDS who 'failed to deliver' software for its customer service at its Scottish based contact centre.
The legal battle came to a head after a 6 year legal battle which it was claimed by BSkyB that the new software based customer service system deigned to handle both customer enquiries and subscriptions did not meet expectations and subsequently the company had to complete the installation itself.
EDS, now part of HP, are considering appealing against the decision made by the Judge, Mr Justice Ramsey.
