Virtual contact centre for Liverpool based Advice Partnership

Liverpool Advice Alliance is a partnership between 16 charities and advice agencies, which have banded together to pool their resources and offer a more comprehensive service to the local community.

The initiative works as a ‘virtual call centre’ where the services of all central service providers can now be accessed. The scheme, which is backed by the Big Lottery Fund, can advise on debt, housing, welfare benefits, abuse and employment law among others.

Steve Croft, from Age Concern, said: “Because each service offers something different we can use our partners expertise, as well as our own.”

Sharon Mitchell, from Speke Advisory Service, added: “There was a great shortage of accessible advice in Liverpool before, now there’s is almost always going to be someone on the other end of the phone when you call".
