Alton Towers - Contact centre staff required

It has been announced that theme park Alton Towers are creating up to 950 staff to include staff at their contact centre which handles both customer service and bookings.

Alton Towers Human Resources Manager Jo Winfield said: “The permanent roles are to start as soon as we have recruited; the fixed-term roles are to start about March 14, when the park reopens.”

The resort employs up to 2,500 people in total at peak time and reopens for half-term, with selected rides and attractions operating between February 19 and 27, before fully reopening in March.

No new major attractions are planned for the 2011 season, but last year’s launch of the £15 million Th13teen rollercoaster brought an estimated 100,000 visitors to the park.
