CallCopy - Helping companies comply with PCI DSS v2.0 Standards

CallCopy have announced that it has taken steps to address the latest version of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). As of December 31, 2011, version 1.2.1 of the PCI DSS retired and all compliance efforts must follow version 2.0.

To give its customers added assurance around the new standards, CallCopy recently engaged Coalfire Systems, Inc. (Coalfire), a respected PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) company, to conduct an independent technical assessment of its cc: Discover workforce optimization suite. Results of the audit are expected in early 2012.

"PCI has been a focus of ours since our initial product release, and we've continued to take steps to reduce the risk of credit card data compromise for our customers," said Ray Bohac, chairman and chief information officer at CallCopy. "We are forward thinking in terms of the solutions we offer, and do our best to remove some of the burden of PCI compliance from our users. By engaging with a trusted PCI QSA like Coalfire to assess our solutions, we're taking a unique step towards validating our efforts."

"As new security threats grow, so does merchant demand for solutions that help meet current PCI requirements," said Kennet Westby, president of Coalfire. "By working with Coalfire on an independent assessment of its software, CallCopy has demonstrated their commitment to developing solutions that remove much of the burden of compliance from their customers."

Earlier this year, CallCopy announced the release of cc: Fusion, a groundbreaking desktop analytics platform that assists with PCI compliance. "With PCI DSS v1.2 retiring, we wanted to make it easier for organizations to meet the new standards," added Bohac. "Since day one, we've designed our product to include features that address PCI compliance standards, such as the ability to trigger recording blackouts through an API integration. By adding cc: Fusion to the mix, we took that one step further by simplifying how blackouts are triggered based on desktop activity, making this critical capability available to virtually all contact centers."

In addition to the blackout feature, which prevents the recording of all sensitive data, CallCopy's compliance recording solution provides several additional features that support PCI compliance. This includes 256-bit file-level encryption of all audio and video recordings, SSL encryption for all client-server communications, role-based permissions to ensure that only qualified users have access to recordings, automatic record archiving and purging, extensive system logs and activity tracking, and more.
