Green Home Company - 100 Call Centre Jobs created at Bridgend site

Solar panel installer The Green Home Company have announced that they are to create additional jobs at the company's Bridgend contact centre bringing to total to 100 staff.

The Green Home Company’s contact centre will handle both sales and customer service roles and will cover the solar panel sector in Wales and the South-east of England.

Founder and executive chairman of the company Alan Proto said: “We are thrilled to have launched our new operations in Bridgend so that more people in Wales and the south-west of England can benefit from our solar installations.

“The country has an increasing level of fuel poverty, and solar panels will allow our customers to see a real reduction in their fuel bills. The fact that we continue to grow in spite of the recent uncertainty is a real success story for the industry; we have demonstrated that green jobs and green growth are a reality.”

The UK Government yesterday lost its bid to overturn a High Court ruling that its plans to cut subsidies for solar panels on homes are unlawful.
