Hilton
Hotel - Set to close UK based reservation contact centre
It has been announced that the Hilton Group are to transfer their worldwide reservation contact centre from Glasgow to the US with the loss of up to 100 jobs.
The contact centre, which currently employs 200 people, was opened 10 years ago. It is thought that reservations for UK bookings have now been re-routed to a Hilton contact centre in Florida.
Hilton Management have started a 30- day consultation process with staff, indicating job cuts are inevitable.
