Cooperative Travel - Efficiency Drive details announced
Travel operator Cooperative Travel have announced that 20 jobs will be transferred from their Barrow based contact centre to their Manchester contact centre as part of the Groups continued efficiency drive.
Commenting on the move Spokesperson Alison Westall said: �It is functions rather than jobs that will be affected. There won�t be a loss of 20 jobs. We are updating the sales volumes that go through here from other parts of the group and hopefully the majority of people can apply for sales jobs.
Alistair Rowland, director of distribution for Cooperative Travel commented �What we are doing is actually growing in the Barrow contact centre, but we are centralising some of the functions. Cooperative Travel is a huge entity. We have got lots of call centres and we are centralising some of the functions.
