Aspect Appoints Steve
Boakes as Channels and Partners Manager, Northern Europe
Aspect have announced the appointment of Steve Boakes as channels and partners manager, Northern Europe. In this role, Boakes will be responsible for developing new and existing sales channels, building strong partner and system integrator relationships, and developing business and sales strategies to support Aspect's indirect channel objectives and targets.
Working with colleagues from sales, product management, operations, marketing and Aspect business partners, he will also be responsible for providing marketplace and customer feedback to Aspect's executives so that product propositions can be modified and customer relationships enhanced.
"For much of Europe, our strategy centres on leveraging our important partner network to drive sales and it's important to have a channel manager that can focus on ensuring that these partners are armed with the information they need to be successful," said Mark King, senior vice president, Europe, Aspect. "His considerable sales channel experience and vast technical and product knowledge will be invaluable to us as we build our channel presence and extend our market-leading position in unified communications and collaboration for the contact centre and the enterprise."
Steve has extensive channel and sales
management experience and an impressive track record in selling
services and solutions. He joins Aspect from Nortel where he was
responsible for a sales team addressing new business and
customer accounts within the Local Government, Central
Government, Defence & Police markets. Prior to Nortel, Steve was
a Business Unit Manager for Damovo, leading a ten person sales
team responsible for customer accounts and new business across
all market sectors in the UK. Steve has also worked in sales and
channel roles within NextiraOne, ntl Business and Workplace
Technologies Plc - after starting his career as a
Telecommunications Engineer in the Ministry of Defence working
with a wide range of military and commercial radio systems.
"Aspect has strong product and services offerings that can bring considerable benefits to companies and their customers," said Boakes. "Through the promotion of our strategic global alliance with Microsoft, and by leveraging Aspect's powerful range of unified communications applications for the contact centre and platform products, I look forward to working with the channel team to extend Aspect's indirect reach and satisfying our customers' service, sales and collections objectives."
