Technology & Chemistry do Mix!
78% of contact centres use wipes for health & safety
UK environmental chemistry and infection control company BioGenn Services have announced the launch of the industry’s first dedicated maintenance and hygiene communications wipes.
The unique product, aligned with their complimentary researched maintenance and operation performance programme, is set to make contact centre management sit up and listen to the cost savings and improved communications that can be gained.
Research carried out by the BioBreez
Technologies Group shows that 78% of contact centres use
communication wipes for health & safety or, to help maintain
operational performance of headsets and other communications
equipment; however, studies carried out by the Centre for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on alcohol products
concludes that alcohol products offer poor or ineffective
protection against the transmission of infections. Testing by
numerous laboratories and universities, together with BioGenn
Services also shows that alcohol and acidic products damage
communication plastics and components and, can shorten the
lifespan of equipment by as much as half. With alcohol products’
making up the vast majority of communication wipes, there is
definitely a need for an alternative product that does not
degrade the equipment and one which provides improved health &
Safety. BioGenn Services communication wipes are proven not to
effect the most sensitive of components, as well as being
clinically proven to eradicate and kill Viruses, Bacteria,
Bacterial Spores, Mold, Fungi and Mildew. Making them the most
clinically tested communications wipes available.
BioGenn Services Group Commercial Director, Damon Kern Farrell
said “It is widely known within the communications industry that
alcohol and acidic wipes damage equipment, but what isn’t widely
known is that alcohols and anti-microbial products don’t offer
the perceived health & safety protection”.
“Our researched approach has opened the eyes of many within the industry, including distributors and manufactures alike”. “Current communication wipes fail to comply with end-user requirements and are inadequate for their intended purpose”. “Our aim is to work with consumers, distributors and manufacturers to improve communications, reduce operating costs and increase health & safety.
“We have already proven with a well-know contact centre that our approach works; enabling them to enjoy improved call quality, reduced communication cost and lower rates of sickness. Until now, no one has provided communication consumers with practical and proven guidance of maintaining their equipment. We are currently in talks with some of Europe’s largest communication distributors who are keen to adopt our approach, under regional exclusivity. We will however, be putting consumers needs first”.
