Sky set to create 550 jobs at new Stockport based Contact Centre

Media giant Sky have announced the creation of a new contact centre in Stockport with the creation of 550 new jobs.

The contact centre will be located in the St Peter's Square development in Stockport town centre and will open in June and will handle enquiries for pay television, broadband and telephony.

Recruitment will get underway this month  with roles to include training, coaching and customer services.

Chris Stylianou, who runs Sky's customer centres, said: "Sky is excited about finding a new home in Stockport and I am delighted to be able to announce these new opportunities."

The new customer centre, to be based in a new building in Stockport town centre, will be in addition to Sky's centres in Livingston, Dunfermline, Uddingston, Leeds, Osterley and Shepton Mallet.
