Kwik Fit Insurance has again reported a strong month for the sales of home policies as the intermediary continues to focus on building it's presence in the home insurance market.
Sales of home insurance policies at the Uddingston-based intermediary for April were up 42 per cent compared with the same month in 2008. Taking the year as a whole, sales of the same product have increased by 25 per cent.
This year has seen sales of new home insurance policies rise steadily as a result of a concerted effort to grow the business in what we see as an area of real opportunity. Our foundation is car insurance, but customers are recognising that our other products represent very good value for money.

The intermediary has a long history of selling home insurance from its UK contact centre and has been active in this market since 1997. Car insurance remains the core product of the Kwik Fit Financial Services group with almost half a million car policies currently live.
