TSC - Greencock based contact centre will close over the next few weeks

TSC have confirmed that their Greenock based contact centre will close over the next few weeks with the loss of 160 jobs.

A TSC spokesperson confirmed that the outsource company gave redundancy notices to its remaining Greenock workforce and that the site at Cartsburn would be wound down.

“This is a very sad for TSC and Greenock,“ said the spokesperson who again stressed that the company will still be trying very hard to find a new client for the site."

He added, “Nothing would give us greater pleasure than to find new work for our TSC employees.  There are some potential new clients in the pipeline but contracts of these dimensions take time to negotiate – and that’s what we don’t have just now.

“But although the site will be moth-balled when the last employee leaves, it could quickly be re-furbished and re-opened if new business is sourced. That is our hope. More than 20 Greenock employees have been found alternative jobs in TSC’s Dunoon and Kilmarnock operations – and we would be delighted to accept more transfers like that if the opportunities arise.”
