FirstSource - Announce plans for 100 new jobs
Cardiff based outsource company FirstSource have
announced plans to create an
additional 100 jobs.
A FirstSource spokesman said: "We’re employing over 400
people in the new contact centre at this stage. These
are a straight transfer of roles from a previous
outsourcing company that was working for Sky. In the next three to six months we will be creating an
additional 100 new jobs. The contact centre has a
capacity for 600 people."
Rajesh Subramanian, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FirstSource, welcomed the Minister and her team to the contact centre.
He said: "We are delighted to open our new facility, which is FirstSource's first contact centre in Wales. We are well established in the UK, providing services to telecommunications and financial services companies from our centres in the north of England and Northern Ireland and this new centre significantly expands our capabilities to serve our UK clients.
"We have been impressed by the calibre and skills of the people that we have employed here and I am sure that there are great opportunities here for us in the city of Cardiff."
Bob Dunn, director of customer group operations at Sky added: "This new centre in Cardiff is another milestone in our longstanding relationship with FirstSource, which continues to provide excellent service and support to our customers. We have an excellent relationship with FirstSource that has developed over more than 10 years and we look forward to a continued and successful partnership together."
