NTL Confirm Scottish Contact Centre Closure

Telecoms and Broadband giant NTL have confirmed it is to cut 6,000 jobs across its UK operations and its intention to close one of its Scottish contact  centres.

NTL Telewest is shutting its customer care centre at South Gyle in Edinburgh early next year, which currently employs 150 people.

The centre at South Gyle will close in about six months. The company said it would strive to redeploy some of the staff to other operations in Scotland.
